Frankenstein

 While reading Mary Shelley's " Frankenstein" in my english class numerous questions arose. One that struck me the hardest was "If we were to create a clone, would they have a soul?" I felt so strongly about this mainly because it is a question we might never learn the answer to. I feel that one is given a soul through birth, so as long as a cloned child is born from a female womb it will have a soul. There are the other arguments that bring up the point that the close is not conceived through sexual reproduction but rather made in a test tube. I also believe that the soul grows as we age, this means to me that the cloned child's soul will not necessarily be the same as the first child's. There were numerous other questions but I felt that this one could be answered the easiest but can also bring up the strongest arguments for a debate. I welcome anyone to comment on this post and offer their own ideas.
